How DMA Works
With direct market access (DMA) you can see the market depth and assess liquidity, placing orders at a level you choose.
Our DMA deal ticket displays the buying and selling prices from the equity exchanges' level two (L2) order books.
The current bid/offer prices are highlighted in yellow, together with the volume of shares currently available at that level. Below you can see the volume at less favourable prices.
You can choose to enter an order at any price – either at one of the prices already in the order book, or by setting your own price and waiting for a matching order.
For an example of L2 trading, see our DMA examples page.
To activate DMA trading within the platform, simply click on 'My Account' and go to 'Settings'. Then check the option to activate DMA and click on ‘Set Preferences’.
Learn more about the platform by downloading our DMA trading manual (PDF, 3.6MB).
CFDs are leveraged products. CFD trading may not be suitable for everyone and can result in losses that exceed your initial deposit, so please ensure that you fully understand the risks involved.
